I fear that I may have to cut my hair sooner than I wish to. The length and weight is becoming too much. I would really like to donate it, but it will be far to short than what is liked. I will figure something out.
Skittles is being slightly evil tonight. She's attempted to chew the fuselage to the SE a couple of times. Right now she is sitting high atop the entertainment center napping.
Note: I don't like for people to beat around the bush and pretend to care about what I say so that they can ask me a favor. I have no friends that do this, but I have aquaintances that do. It irritates me and I know when you are doing it. I remember many things and that includes an individual's normal behavior!
I've got a majority of our holiday shopping done. Birthday shopping is to be done next week and mailed out soon. September started the oh so busy few months of birthdays and holidays.
Well, I have done something to my thumb. It's swollen and hurts. Maybe it's sympathetic pain and swelling for my mom who got stung last night by a wasp. More than likely it's from when I got my luggage I bent my thumb nail back real far. It still hurts there, so that's what I am thinking it is. If it doesn't ease in a day or two, I guess it's a trip to the doctors for me. :sad I don't especially like going to the doctors. They are rarely fun.
Ok, so skip LoTR for the moment. Run Lola Run is on IFC Fridays. Figure I'll watch that and then maybe Harry Potter (it's already in one of the DVD trays). Still no luck on the scripts. /sigh
Well, we're supposed to be getting 50mph winds in a few hours. Guess I should close the windows. I am going to go watch Lord of the Rings and do some searches for link and review scripts. I don't want to write anything. I feel lazy tonight.
Well, we went to the movies. We went to see The Tuxedo. It was pretty cool. Lots of action and Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn't really that bad.
Jason Isaacs is in it. I didn't even recognize that he is playing Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Cool beans. Brittany is quite excited about that movie coming out. So am I, but not as much. We saw the preview today at the movies and they have definately improved the quality of many scenes and the quidditch game interaction. It should be a very interesting movie to see.
Ok, I watched CSI and ER tonight. CSI was good, but they've had better shows. ER... well, it was ER. I think they tried to cram too much into one show. I did notice they are going for all of the gore on tv shows lately. Now CSI is usually gorey, but well, the face peel thing was REALLY icky. /gag
I was really tired all day. I think I've slept like 12 hours. It felt really good. Ok, time to organize my emails and then archive them. Wish me luck. I should be gone for hours!
The Sword of the Ringwraiths is mine. Well, it will be when it arrives. Hee hee.
I am attempting to make my dad's rice. Now that we finally have saffron (thanks dad) I hope it works. It smells right so far. I could not find saffron anywhere up here. This package my dad got me should last a while, I hope.
Home... tired. sleepy. /sigh bills done, ready to sleep. Envelopes taste bad. small airplane was toodling around in the sky and not talking to the towers.. our plane dropped to avoid it... It felt very similar to riding space mountain alone. (rising out of your seat having the seatbelt hold you down) Just glad to be home.
Congrats to my husband Joshua for getting his epic for Febe, his cleric. It took a long time, but he got it. Yeah!!! :smile
I'm watching Snow White right now, the middle munchkin picked it out.
Never thought I'd live to see the day when Switzerland joined the UN. Shocking! Ok, not really, but it's just different.
This morning I saw ultra quick news scroll on CNN that said something about two girls forced into a gold Mazda in Miami. I can't find anything about it anywhere! Now with us being at "code orange" that and the "anniversary" stuff is all they are talking about. Guess I'll look for some local tv station websites for information.
Oops. I forgot to take my little knife out of my backpack. That would have been a close one! I'm leaving in the morning (o' dark thirty) so updates will be even more sporadic.
An interesting article. That is something I will definately watch.
In other news... Someone managed to fall asleep on the floor and in front of the tunnel cam while waiting for a kernel to compile on his test machine.. I have saved the evidence...
I'm going to try to get him up and make him go to bed. That is if the little nut job Skittles doesn't wake him up first. She's rediscovered her fuzzy toy that she got for xmas a while ago. She's going nuts playing with it. Silly cat.

Ok, so apparently the Harry Potter Broomstick thing is really getting passed around the web. Can I tell you all something... If it's the one they've been selling for almost a year.... then I've seen this here product and it does not vibrate like everyone keeps implying. It makes a whoosh type of noise. VERY similar to the sound from the light saber for interactive yoda... If people think someone is going to get off on something like that, well then they need to get out more. GET OVER IT PEOPLE! For f***s sake, the seizuring Magenta from Blues Clues that I saw in the toy department the other day would stand a better chance of getting someone off!
Oi. I can't sleep very well. It's mostly due to the thunder. It isn't the normal thundering I generally sleep to. It's the 'dropped a bowling ball on a wooden floor' and 'party snap' kinds of thundering. They've been alternating. It's raining now and I am in a debate over whether to close the windows or not. It's rather umm, humid in here. There is a slight dew forming on the carpet. Skittles has headed for high grounds (up on the cabinet tops) to avoid the evil water that is rain.
I think I shall vote to close the windows. I shall consult with Josh first and get his help if we do.
Take out! My yummy soup and mac-n-cheese from the place on the corner. Oh yum. I decided to see how my pen cam would do there since they keep it so dark. It actually did pretty well since I was near the window. I really wasn't expecting it to come out as good as it did.
Ahhh, I have my full connection back. Josh has gotten his Rage Fire... (gotta love this BBC story on the wait.) and is finally sleeping. Skittles is ready for us to get back to a normal sleep schedule and my shoulder is killing me.
Due to shipping errors and the lovely Labor Day holiday yesterday here in the U.S. Narsil will be arriving tomorrow or Thursday. /sigh
Sweet mother! There's a Law and Order marathon on TNT! I know what Josh and I will be watching it too. Too fun!
