Jason sent this too me a while ago... I think it's fairly accurate

I'm home. It seemed to take forever, yet we actually got home in record time! No traffic. We left at like 10pm and got home around 9:30am. I was rather miserable most of the way home. I am still feeling icky. I'm going to go rest or something. I haven't decided just yet.
I just wanted to say thanks to all of my friends that sent me cards and presents. I love you all. I'll tell you all about the holiday loot later. I'm tired. Ok, I'll at least add that Jason got my the character stamps and Josh got me GANDALF!!!!!!!!!! It actually looks like Ian McKellan too! A two for one deal!
I'm sick. At least I wasn't sick for Christmas. I'm still down south, not too far.
Just checking in. Got lots of goodies off of my wishlist and I have convinced Melissa to make one for next year! It makes shopping easy for folks!
Ok, I feel like I'm going to explode. I need to go rest. Just wanted to report in.
I worked extra long hours this week, since I am taking tomorrow, friday, off. Now I must wash clothes, but part of me keeps saying, "Don't worry about washing, wash when you get there." The other part of me says, "fresh clothes are nice." I'm torn. I'm also really freaking tired.
I still have so much to do. Packing and all. Ugh. I think I have a few gifts to wrap too. Oi, what fun?!
We got Skittles a new feeder. It's this super huge thing. It's automatic and holds about twenty pounds of food! Skittles saw me pouring food in and went absolutely nuts. It was all very cute.
Ok, I really need to get doing stuff. More later, hopefully.
Went to the first showing here, pretty packed full of guys. Josh and I were quite impressed. I'm hungry and I think I might be afraid of Cate Blanchett now or at least of negatives.
More later. Gotta get some work done.
I used to think that I was an annoying wife, calling my husband at 5:00 pm to see what he wanted for dinner. But working here, I swear I must have been a wonderful wife. I hear guys and gals getting calls from their s.o. constantly. You can actually hear the frustration in their voice. Weird.
Skittles had a vet visit this morning. Holy cow is she one pissed kitty today. New vet meant new techniques. Skittles got her temperature checked and we all know that's not fun for pets and small children!
The company I and Josh work for aquired a company last week (maybe the week before) and well, it's pretty cool. This company keeps online versions of many technical manuals (O'Reilly, the Bible Series etc). I haven't gone through it completely, but I'm rather excited. The O'Reilly books alone cost me hundreds of dollars a year! I am going to check next to see if they have the New Riders books. I will be completely happy if they do.

Which Rocky character are you?
I was trying to cut back on the tests, but I can't resist this one. I've loved Rocky Horror since I was little. I didn't quite get all of it until later in life, but hey, the music was cool! I'm not quite sure if I agree with the results, but I like Tim.
Link from my dear ole' friend Calhoun.
I went to the mall. It was scary and it was bad. People were parking in ditches. I had Josh drop me off and he drove around. I went looking for the last of the presents and was only somewhat successful. I was hoping to not have to order some things online, but I guess I have to. I don't have anywhere else to look! Well, there's one more place, but I'm not sure it will be safe to go there. Too many people.
I found that many stores were carrying the same items as each other. I felt VERY limited in selection. The clearance sections had more exciting things than the holiday "sale" items.
I'm 98% finished with the all of the children I am buying for. In total I'm about 85% finished with all of the presents. Finding what I want to get my father is proving quite difficult. I think I'm going to be spending some time at Amazon.com tomorrow evening. Which reminds me, Josh wants me to update my wishlist so he knows what to get me. Oi vey. Does he realize how long it took me to get all of that stuff on there? I bookmarked things I liked until I felt I had a wide enough assortment of things to put on it.
Well, it's naptime or something for me. I've been going non stop. At least Josh appreciates me doing all of the shopping for the family. It would REALLY suck if he didn't let me know that he appreciated it. I mean REALLY suck.
My dad is always the hardest to buy for. I guess it's him I take after. If he wants something, he just goes and buys it. It does make buying for him rather difficult.
I've been looking online but found nothing that I think he would really enjoy. He's never really been into getting gifts. Maybe it's a guy thing.
I got Josh's birthday present and he's already playing with it. It's an R/C plane simulator. With the music this thing has, I feel like he's flipping between an old USA Network movie and The Weather Channel. Those are the musical selections I get to listen to! Oh the joy.
I will find a link to the particular simulator. I shouldn't have let him have it so early (five days) but I went ahead. I tortured him enough while we were at work. Hee hee.
We went the GNHLUG holiday party last night. I'm still tired from it. It was fun. There were about 70+ people there. That's a darn good show I would say. Lots of new faces. Maddog was there. He didn't dress up like Santa this year, but he wore his santa hat. He is funny sometimes. It's hard to tell whether he likes you or not. I think I'm ok with him.
Maddog got a homemade Christmas present from a GNHLUG member. It was a hand carved (by the member) foot tall statue of wizard tux from the Think Geek T-shirt, Maddog series. I knew I should have brought my camera! It was really nice. I'm determined to get him to make me something nifty. I don't know how much it will cost, but he does such great darn work.
As always there was stuff given away to everyone. I was going to get Pam a Ximian Monkey, but then I remembered she has one. Of course now that I think about it, she has a friend that could have used one! The LUG's get lots of free stuff. There were tons of Ximian installation disks. I just got a cute little squeeze Tux to add to my collection. Of course we all got free candy jar/container from VistaSource. Pretty sweet.
Jerry ended his charimanship. Bruce has stepped up to chair and Paul is Co-Chairing. Oh the excitement. The pain, the fun, the memories.
Now I have to get back to work.
I've been listening to the score for the Lord of the Rings movie coming out next week. A good score tells a good story. There are parts to this cd that make me just want to cry. It's completely freaking me out. It's like that scene in Pretty Woman where she is at the opera and crying, even though she doesn't know Italian. The music conveys a strong emotion. So far, I think Howard Shore's work on this score is definately Academy Award worthy.
Back to work. Although listening to this at work is causing me to look over my shoulders a lot. Some of the songs give you that weird feeling like something evil is coming up behind you. If you get a chance to hear the score, DO IT! It's quite darn good and this is coming from a devout Danny Elfman fan!
Apparently the heat wasn't on at all this weekend at work and now everyone is freezing. I've been getting up every fifteen minutes or so because my fingers were turning purple. At least it's not as bad as my old job. I got so cold I passed out. Oh the fun. Of course it wasn't until we almost burned the place down that we were finally moved somewhere warmer, even if they were cubicles.
Our cable modem connection went down last night for about an hour or so and I ended up almost going nuts. I was trying to get some work done on the Skittles Cam and poof, not internet. It was rather upsetting.
So who knew Amazon.com has techs working on the weekend!?! I emailed them because I was unable to access my wishlist, well the wishlist I was trying to edit. Come to find out you can have tons of wishlists under the same email, the passwords just have to be different! Doh! Well, at least I learned a few things today though! Gotta finish dinner.
Oh sweet fleas!
"Walden Media to produce C.S. Lewis’ 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.' "
I used to read the The Chronicles Of Narnia as a child. I wonder what this will look like. I've already told Josh that we WILL take off a few hours at work so we can see Lord of the Rings when it opens.
I'm also playing with this little script that lets you view hidden comments on websites. However, when going to a website with lots of comments, it goes wacky for a bit. (boston.com has lots of hidden tags)
More fun news...
Ashley Judd is getting married. Pretty cool, she's happy. Isn't that what matters?
Kofi Annan does Sesame Street. (Side Note: I wonder if the UN would let me spiff up his webpage a little. It just doesn't do him justice.) Oh and congrats to Mr. Annan and the United Nations on winning the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2001.
For those in the US, many your school books were probably once published by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. Well, Mr. Jovanovich has died. Why is this such a big deal? Well, if you knew how many years I tried to say Jovanovich correctly as a child, you'd know!
So I took the online version of the NPR-Kaiser Family Foundation-Kennedy School of Government Civil Liberties Study. I found it difficult in the fact that it didn't really have some of the answers I would choose. Therefore I couldn't honestly complete the test.
The results do scare you though. It once again makes me wish that EVERYONE who wants to vote has to take a political science class and PASS every ten years or so!
I'm sitting here, trying to do some tweaking to the Skittles Cam and I am all shakey. I don't know what's up. I've been feeling off the past couple of days. I have to go to work tomorrow. We are so close to completion of the difficult part of the project, that I can taste it! I want to get it done before I leave tomorrow so that on Monday I can just go gung-ho and get started. If I get working REALLY fast, I'm going to get my databases all set up and going. That's probably pushing it though.
One day I'm going to get all of my old diary entries and post them. I'm talking circa mid/early 1990s! That was so long ago.
You know, I'm not unpatriotic. I just don't think it's wise to send innocent people over into something they and we aren't prepared for. I think people don't understand the conflicts well enough. I think the current leadership in many countries are thinking with their @#$!'s rather than with their minds. Everyone is just pouring salts in each other's wounds.
I guess I'm just tired of death and destruction of so many people who just want to live their lives and love their families.
Work was good. Work is still going good. Lots of stuff to do. Gotta get stuff done! The CSS and Netscape weren't getting along together when I left. Oh well.
I think I might be getting sick. My throat is sore and I am feeling like I am burning up one minute and freezing another! Ugh.
I call for a war. If this kind of crap can go on, it is time for a war against the religious radicals in the US that bomb abortion clinics, that shoot doctors, that molest their children, rape and opress their wives. I call for a war against religious idiots. They must be dealt with. They strike terror to those around them. THEY MUST BE STOPPED.
Ok, so we live in the TWENTY-FIRST century now. Give it a rest already. The UN seriously needs to get in and do something.
NO! The bombing is only going to increase the violence and attacks. Things are going very, very badly in the world, and I am scared.
IT has been pre-revealed on Time.com.
I was correct in my belief that it was a scooter type device. But I STILL don't see what all of the hype is about. Unless it's only going to cost about $100 USD, it's of no concern to myself. I am interested in the balance aspect of it and for THAT I may watch GMA, if I can view it online.
Ok, that's enough for now. Tests are silly, tests are fun. Lots and lots of tests.
Finished some more shopping. Mostly for myself.
Almost time for X-files. Then time for sleep. Skittles didn't let me sleep too much this weekend, so I'm going to bed early tonight.

"You were PJ Harvey in a past life! You're can be somewhat reserved, but when there's an issue you feel strongly about you're not afraid to share your opinion. You're the walking definition of sophistication and people admire you for your strength and composure. You are highly artistic and enjoy creating masterpieces any way you can!"

"Rather than killing girls outright by stabbing them or slitting their throats, you enjoy torturing them for weeks on end by pricking them with needles or prodding with sharp spikes - all to bathe in their blood. You've killed over six hundred women, all without raising a peep from the authorities."
I am 64% SKA.
Well, maybe I'm trying too hard, maybe I'm not trying hard enough. I shouldn't forget my roots, and remember that punk and reggae wouldn't exist without ska.
Take the SKA Test at Fuali.com!
I am 18% Metal-Head.
I am a sorry kid, I am going to watch some more TRL and stay out of the mosh pit. I'll only get myself hurt. I'm a lamer. A RUSTY BOLT, in the metal world. A poser. A -real- metal head would kick my ass if he knew I TOOK this test.
Take the Metal-Head Test at Fuali.com!
18%, for this, I'm thankful. However I can hold my own in a mosh pit thank you very much! And I could probably kick some metal arse if need be. I have plenty of steel toes you know!

If I were a character in The Lord of the Rings, I would be Galadriel, Elf, Queen of Lothlorien, wife of Celeborn and grandmother of Arwen. Who would you be?

Wow, this was a great match.
IT is set to be revealed on Good Morning America on Monday.
Considering that Dean's office is right down the road from us and next door to the college's mill campus, it is pretty easy for me to "guess" what IT is. If it is what I'm guessing, Josh has seen IT in action. It's not a bad thing, but I don't think it's everything that people are freaking out about. Anyhow. I'm getting Skittles Cam all set up to make her journal entries easier. Ok, back to work.
