I've been listening to the new Bjork LP. I got a sneak peek at it and can't let it go! ;) I also got a sneak peak at the new R.E.M. and a few others. The Bjork LP, "Vespertine" as it is entitled, is good. It's definately different than the others, but each one of her has always been different. It kind of reminds me of some 80s music, I can't think of what. It's really good though. Josh was excited that I got it so early. It should be out in a week or so, so it's not really too long now.
The R.E.M. LP is pretty good too. They've definately changed since the early years, but I like it.
On a different note. I need to see a doctor. I'm displaying most of the symptoms of diabetes. I will probably call on Monday about getting an appointment. Maybe it would actually be easier to just go to a clinic or something. I really just want to know if it is or not. That way I can start eliminating possibilities.
I did something to my neck and shoulders, so I've been suffering with that. In addition to Skittles being a total pain in my rear.
I think I shall go look up clinics. If I could get in sometime this weekend, it would be most excellent (Bill & Ted reference) :)
Maybe it's me, but I could swear that Michael Skakel has gained weight lately. Him in January of 2000 and now April 2001. Maybe he eats when he is scared.
I could care less if he was a freaking Kennedy. He's a murderer. Being a Kennedy and even knowing one doesn't make you Godlike. You are a person to me, you have to do something pretty darn special to really impress me. You have to CARE about what you do. That impresses me.
Wow, talk about violence. Check this out. Thanks Lawson!
Well, at least somebody doesn't suck.
I was nosing around on the tdiclub forums and came across a misc thread entitled "made in china." I of course peeked in. I was none too thrilled. Basically it let me know who not to talk to when it comes to the tdiclub! It's essentially a ton of world-o-phobic nut jobs. Only searching for "made in the usa" on their products. I can tell you right now that most of that stuff that is "made in the usa" is actually made in other countries and shipped to the us without a stamp, or with a removable stamp. I know exactly how they do things! After almost 12 years experience, I have a general sense of the business and how they work!
I'm going to a Mary Kay party with Sheryl, actually it's at Sheryl's. I need some more foundation and a damn powder brush. I never realized how hard it was to find a powder brush. A decent one that is. With these chicken pox scars, I have to use a certain combo of things. Why can't I live in the jungle and not have to worry about these things? Oh yeah, I remember. Bugs. Icky, Icky Bugs! There are certain bugs I'm cool with, but there are some bugs that I cannot stand! Luckily, we have Skittles, Bug Hunter extrordinaire! She's a great bug catcher. She gets moths and flies that sneak in when we are putting the screen down. She has stayed awake all night hunting moths before. Weird Cat!
Slot cars to keep you busy...
For the past hour I've been having problems with CNN.com Is it just me? I don't know. It's rather annoying in any case! Grrr.
Did you ever have one of those moments? I did, last night. I cooked and made a nice dinner. So Josh and I get almost completely through with dinner and I look down. I forgot to put seasoning in the chili! At least I know it doesn't necessarily need it! Just had to mention my moment.
I hate Sharon. Reference back a month or so and see. Did I not say this was a horrible thing? The f**cking idiot is about to get himself thrashed.
The dumb-a$$e$ that voted for him really don't understand politics. I think everyone pretty much knows that I can fight all day and all night on this topic. I understand Mid-East politics and I understand History. Damnit... I'm getting really pissed.
I have to say this. The US actually said something about the latest violence & actions by Israel.
"The move drew quick condemnation from the United States, which used much stronger language than in previous statements on Jewish settlements.
State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said Israel should stop such settlement activity, which he described as provocative and inflammatory."
If I had some mystical powers, I would inflict upon Sharon and all of his "p"leaders to feel just what their idiotic policies do, ten fold.
I remember a man telling me a few months ago... "All of the good doctors and lawyers come from my country." He was from Israel. First of all... His whole arguement went down the tube when he added lawyers to the statement. Second, please tell me someone great that came out of that country, other than Mr. Rabin. None of this would have happened had he not been killed. Oh, and isn't it funny how a RIGHT WING FOOL was the person that killed him. Talk about your Right Wing Consipracy!! There's some probable cause!
Ahh. I was in such a cool mood. I watched the X-files, Mulder's ALIVE!!!! I just want to know the real deal with Scully's baby and I think i'll be ok for the show to end. Anyhow, I was fine until after the show. That's when we did our taxes. I bet you're thinking, "Wow, how much are you getting back?" To that I would have to reply. NADA! Not a stinking penny. We have to fork over almost $900. Grrr. At least I've worked out a system for next year. I think I'll be pretty well set.
Last night Josh, Jamie and I went to the Red Hook Brewery for dinner. It was pretty cool. My dessert wasn't very pleasing to me, so of course it went straight to Josh and Jamie, the sugar twins. It had some sort of almond drizzle on it. I like almonds as almonds, but not as a flavoring. It's just something I've never really cared much for. I'm not sure why. My veggie burger was pretty good. Considering it was almost time for them to close the kitchen. I'm sure I would have enjoyed the veggie lasagna, but I didn't want it to be rushed (i.e. microwaved) to me. The veggie burger took a few minutes on the grill and that was it. That's fine by me. I hadn't eaten anything, so I was kind of hungry.
