OK people… I almost shed a tear, but it was for a good cause. I just donated twenty inches of hair*.

There has been some controversy** regarding Locks of Love. If you recall, I donated hair in March of 04 to Locks of Love, prior to learning of the practices of Locks of Love. This go around I knew I wanted to get my hair cut and donate it, but where would I donate it? A few nights of researching and I came across Beautiful Lengths.

What really excited me about them is that they are working with the American Cancer Society to distribute wigs to cancer patients. I was quite upset to hear that in most cases, cancer patients were denied wigs from locks of love. That makes miftik MAD! Grrr. /end HULK impression. Also, I liked that they will take eight inches of hair. That means more donations!

So, I don’t have any pictures for now. I may see if someone can take some later. Either way, it is shorter than the previous time. Eeek. Eric, for reference, I have a six inch ponytail now. I may try to get a chopstick in, but it isn’t looking promising.

* OK, it was closer to twenty one, but just in case they have to trim any ends, we’ll say twenty.
