Lights Out

Yesterday evening the power went out to the entire neighborhood. It is funny how little things like loss of electricity will cause the neighborhood to exit their homes and congregate on the sidewalks. Yep. We didn’t talk to any of our neighbors, but we all knew. Josh and I drove off and discovered it was a fairly good chunk of the neighborhood that was without power. Thankfully it came back within about two hours. We still don’t know what happened.

In the midst of the electricity going out, Josh was brewing beer. Thankfully he was able to complete the brewing, but had the power been out for much longer, the entire batch he had started would have been a waste. I know there are some of you breathing a sigh of relief at that news.

Still no pictures of the emoticon bites. There wasn’t enough light to get pictures after the lights went out. Sorry folks.

The kitty PopTart weaning is going well. She was getting 1:1 (Friskies to good stuff), but last night and this morning she got about 1:3. I’m hoping for at least 1:4 tonight. I’m crossing my fingers.

Well, off to study for tomorrow’s exam before I go into my lab. I’m installing Apache on a Unix machine. Yes, I rolled my eyes when I read the lab sheet.
