Itty Bitty Suessable Hats

Monday, December 5th, 2005

How did I miss these little hats? As if I didn’t already have enough on my plate. I’m tempted on working on a stash of them for next year and giving them out. If I had known about the innocent hat project, I probably would have knit some of them and sent them along.

Soldier on

I worked on Josh’s second glove and after looking at it, I noticed something. It was then that I decided to have Josh try it on. Sure enough, it was too big. It wasn’t gigantic, but it wasn’t going to work. I’ll be starting over sometime this week or early next week, hopefully. I have a ton of stuff on my plate this week, so there are no guarantees.

I managed to finish one little Yule gift. I have so much to do but so little time. My head keeps inching its way closer to the wall so it can bang against it, but so far it hasn’t made contact. I fear it will soon though.

I’ve given up any thought of trying to do the Hogwarts scarf before the end of the year. There is just no time until the middle of January.

So, has everyone seen the new issue of knitty? I’m partial to Pocket Creatures, Kate and Marley’s Ghost. Knecklace may end up as a Yule gift one year. Mrs. Beeton may end up as a gift for Ms. Brittany and possibly myself.

On our trip up north, I did the unthinkable. I bought a sweater. I know, I know. It is really soft and quite flattering on me, so I am told. I spent less than $20 on it, so I didn’t cry, but I did shake my head as I handed over the money. I needed it to wear to the wake. There were no dress shirts that weren’t hot pink or nasty blue. I had no choice.
