Josh had a wool sweater sitting in the closet that was never going to be worn. Being the recycler that I am, I insisted on using it for something I had been thinking about for a while. I made individual double pointed knitting needle cases!

After the sweater was shrunk, I cut strips of the appropriate length and width for each size and quantity of needle. Then I placed some inexpensive plastic I purchased from the remnants bin along the bottom. This was done to block the needles from possibly poking through over time.

To seam up the sides I just used some bright embroidering thread and did varying stitches to add a bit of fun mixed with functionality. I just made a snip on the flap and an appropriately sewn button was added.

To distinguish which size needle resided in the case, I did some super-quick (ghetto-fied) embroidering on the flap.
