Pocketbook Slipper

Pocketbook slipperI used the pattern for a pocketbook slipper.

They are adorable, comfortable, warm, and super easy to knit up. Added bonus: A minor adjustment and they could double for little purses!

Materials Used:
7US straight
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Worsted Weight - 98 (Natural Heather)

Blanket of doom

Big BlanketThis blanket was originally just supposed to be a throw for my husband. The brown with white flecks was 50% off the clearance price, so he picked that and about a week later picked the reverse (white with brown flecks).

At first it fit a queen sized bed perfectly, but now due to use, it is closing up a bit. It makes it warmer, so we don’t mind. I used the Finding Nemo DVD at the top of the blanket for size reference.

It’s a simple stockinette stitch with ribbing on the sides and seed stitch at the top.

Materials used:
17US circulars
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick 143 (Claret)
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick 402 (Wheat)

Spider-Man Scarf

A Spider-Man ScarfA “Spider-Man” scarf I made for my nephew’s fourth birthday. It is a simple k3,p3 ribbed scarf in acrylic. He isn’t out in the blistering cold enough for wool. I embroidered the spider web on one side and left the other side blank.

Originally I had planned to knit the web within the scarf, but decided he might grow out of his Spider-Man phase and just want it black and red.
