I’m still sick and I’m working like mad. This week is going to bite very much!
I am sick. I don’t get stuffy unless I am very sick, so I don’t seem sick to people. Well, I am sick. I have a sore throat, a fever and I appear to be getting a cough.
Here’s the part that sucks. I absolutely cannot stay home. In many cases, I could probably convince everyone that I can work from home. Unfortunately for this situation, I need to work one on one with a few people. There is a set in stone deadline that must be met and won’t be if I don’t do what I need to tomorrow.
So, I shall trudge through tomorrow. Normally I am very quick, so tomorrow I suppose I will just work at a normal rate.
I had a much more in depth post in my head, but it isn’t translating correctly via my fingertips.
Maybe another day.
So yesterday I cut my finger really bad. Bad enough that I contemplated the success to failure ratio of driving myself to the hospital. Then I remembered I am a brave little toaster.
So, I consulted Josh who was at the office and decided that I could survive at home. I took photos of course. I am a little disappointed that the shot of the blood about to drop came out fuzzy. Then again, I’m surprised that it wasn’t even blurrier. Once the bleeding slowed, I took more photos. There are two that show the size and depth pretty well, but I’m sure it would gross everyone out.
The cut is looking better today. It is still bleeding a little, but I have been good about taking care of it. I just want it to heal so that I can type normally again.
You know you wanted to know all about my evening last night. Well there you go. Eeeew.
Just popping on to list a few new Twitter follows and some music discoveries. Work is strangely busy, but well that’s the way it rolls. Right? I have had a very enlightening past week and a half. I need a break.
andyshauf – I found his music via the P is for Panda compilation download on Amazon.com and enjoy some of his music. He has recently been signed by P is for Panda, so I’m hoping to hear more from him.
jwojwo – This is Jeremy Warmsley. Holy smokes does he make awesome music.
iampauldixon – OK. I discovered him via Jeremy Warmsley. He had followed me on Twitter and then didn’t. Weird. I followed to his myspace page and liked his music. The remix of Constellation by thelastskeptik is freaking awesome.
thelastskeptik – See the last sentence for iampauldixon. Yep.
Oh My goodness. Where the Wild Things are test footage. Much love and much giddyness!

I don’t generally set new years resolutions. In fact, I’m not really setting resolutions. I’m going to set a goal for myself. There was a time when I could do a just over five minute mile. Due to my lovely ankle eff-up in 97 I know there is no way in hell I can get back to that. However, I want to get back to something decent. So, probably starting next week, I’m going to time a mile walk for five days. Then possibly time a mile run. I know I will be busy with work, so I’m not setting time constraints.
My goal is to just get myself into a better position physically. I have to know my condition now though and then make a plan. So, keep your eyes out for my whining about how much walking and running sucks.
Depeche Mode is giving me a wtf moment with their video for Wrong.
