Relief, what relief
I watch the news often. I read the news even more often. Interestingly enough, I have heard little to nothing on U.S. news stations regarding the cyclone that hit Pakistan and the immense damage it caused. Is it because Pakistan isn’t a tourist/resort area? Why is it that the places that seem to get the help are the places where the tourists come? There was a town destroyed (literally) in the midwest and we didn’t have any fundraising events or calls for aid. Why? /hrmphh

I remember hearing about a story where hundreds of Iraqis were killed on a bridge during a bomb scare. It was barely mentioned on any of the major news stations.
Right now the news is reporting on things that will scare the public to increase ratings. If there is a storm like that in a popular tourist spot then it will hit home more with their audience.
