Garage, done

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

The garage is cleaned up. It will become a giant mess tomorrow, but it is cleaned up and we managed to unpack the remaining “garage” boxes. That was nice. Tomorrow begins the actual tile related work. Up until now it has been all prep work. We put down the floor leveler stuff and all is well in that area. So, if there are no posts from me for the next few days, it is because I am sore or injured or both.

So far I have gotten an A in three of my classes. I have one last one that I have no clue what I got. Hopefully the grade will post soon. They are all supposed to be posted by Friday, but I’d like to go ahead and know, just to get it over with!

Owww

I ache. Really my wrist is killing me. I soaked my wrists in a giant pot of ice water and it hurt, then numbed and hurt worse when I took them out. Now it just hurts. I’ve got too bruises on my hand from really missing the chisel with the hammer, even with it’s two inch ring around it to avoid such problems. Now my sinuses are killing me from inhaling some of the dust. I wore a mask, but I still got some up my nose.

This Hurts

Monday, December 11th, 2006

Um, it isn’t even 6pm yet and I am ready to go to sleep. Josh and I are tearing up the remaining tile in the family room. Remind us to never do this again. I’ve been taking pictures of everything, including the blood. It was “just like a paper cut” only bloodier Josh says. Yeah, there was globs of blood on the broken up tile by the front door. There is even some on the cement floor. /sigh It’s only a flesh wood.

I’m going to go eat something and then get back to work. I’ll upload pictures in a month or too. I’m too darn sore to manage more than typing.

Oh yeah… I got an A in my Secure Computing course. That’s the only grade I know right now. I should know all of my grades by Friday evening. I better.

Discovery Launch

Bright Sky
Discovery launched! I’ve got to work on my night photography skills but this is one that was cool and Discovery hadn’t even come into view yet.

Gain Some?

Monday, December 4th, 2006

I keep getting these spam messages in my inbox about gaining a few inches. Sorry folks but I’m trying to loose a few inches.

Back to studying. I am so freaking tired. One final down and three more to go!

Making a Decision

Sunday, December 3rd, 2006

I just finished typing the notes for my Asian history class. Phew. I needed them to study tomorrow after my Math exam, for which I am about to get back to studying.

I’ve wanted to get an mp3 player upgrade for a while, but I was having issues as to what to buy. The ipods are nice, but the more research I did, the more I leaned away from it. I looked at the Zune and various other players and have finally decided on the Creative Vision: W. Unfortunately, my home owning, responsible adult reasoning sense is kicking in saying, “that could go towards new kitchen cabinets or even a refrigerator.” It is moments like this that makes being a responsible adult no fun.

OK. Back to studying for Math. One nice thing about today… My husband is home! Yay!

Yay

I’ve got the three papers done, now I need to do my commentaries on them. None of this is due until Wednesday, so I may just wait and do it later. I have to hand write it and it only needs to be a page. In other words, it should take me about ten minutes to do all three of them.

I have math and Asian history to study today and tomorrow. I went back to sleep this morning and it really helped me. I am feeling overly productive today.

I think I’m going to go have some chocolate milk to celebrate. It is one of the rare times I have chocolate milk, but after eating a pecan delight, I think a glass of chocolate milk would be good. That and I need to go in that direction to get the clothes out of the dryer!

Give Him a Welcome

National Aids Trust
Today is World Aids Day. Unfortunately, we have to have a day to remind us how wide spread and non discriminating this disease is.
