Strange

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

I never that I would be doing it, but I am. I am actually trying to find ways to fit more into less. I have adjusted my margins, adjusted the font spacing and I think I have got it. Part 1 of my paper has to be no more than three pages and I had more than three pages. I can do it, I am good like that.

Is the end near

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

Josh, my husband, now has a domain. Oh. My. Bob. OK, so I registered it and will setup WordPress etc initially, it is his. I’ll start linking to it once the domain propagates.

Hey Eric… that means you have to install WordPress too so I can start linking to you. Right? :D
TV sucks tonight so I get to work on a paper. Go me. I’ve edited part one of four. Too much pressure! I just want it finished.

Edit: It is already resolving on my end. Nice! He has officially been linked!

Naughty kids

Friday, November 24th, 2006

I just kicked three kids out of a tree in my yard. I’m all for letting kids play and climb trees and have fun, but not on my property. In today’s society and especially in this state, people are too prone to lawsuits. The kids were climbing a tree that hangs over a nasty palm tree. Ask Josh, he has a nice scar on his leg from coming up against one. So, I kicked them out. I also warned them about the snakes that live in our little jungle. They would have been screaming if one of them came up to the tree while they were in it.

The most interesting thing about their little adventure is that they traveled the length of the yard through the branches and bushes* instead of just walking up to the base of the tree. I cleared that area out weeks ago. I’m hoping to plant some shrubs on that side of the house. I have to get all of the other crap out of there first. Maybe during spring break.

*I could hear them and watched them from the windows.

Wobbly still

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Kitty is still a little wobbly. I don’t know what they gave her, but I’m going to be slightly hesitant to take her if they insist of knocking her out often. They already gave us some sedatives for her return visit Tuesday. They better not make her like this again. This is freaking ridiculous. While it was nice to sleep through the night, it is a little worrying when your cat can barely make it to the litter box and back without stumbling. She did manage to hop up on a chair in the kitchen and then onto the table. Yay for kitty.

She’s back

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

My little kitty is back. She’s apparently developed a reputation as an “easily offended” cat. In other words, she was a complete and utter terror at the vets. She started swatting rather aggressively at one of the vet techs who was getting another cat out of the cage below hers. Prognosis is still to be determined but they are leaning towards asthma. We’ll know more in the next couple of days.

Right now she is wobbling around trying to remember who we are and where she is. At least she isn’t screaming and hissing at us anymore. My poor baby.

So lonely

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

I feel so lost. My little kitty is at the vet’s office right now. She has to get an x-ray to find out why she has been coughing so much. She wasn’t being very nice when they tried to x-ray her while she was awake, so she has to be sedated for them to do it. We left her there and will go back for her this afternoon. The poor thing is going to think we abandoned her.

On a somewhat related note. When I was looking up some vet information I came across Pet Apartments. How freaking cute. I could get the castle one and say my cat has her own castle just to crap in. Hell, I could make one on my own. It’s just corrugated plastic. Josh just informed me that “it’s a pain in the ass though” which is probably true.

Disgusted

Monday, November 20th, 2006

I saw something that disgusted me today. To think that a person could be capable of such a thing makes me shudder.

What could be so bad, you ask. I’ll tell you what.

On my way home I spotted some old man driving his Rolls-Royce Phantom around. Oh, there’s nothing wrong with the mere driving it, but rather it was the fact that it was painted primary freaking red. I was disgusted. I actually said out loud, “Oh no. They didn’t. Oh my Gaww..they did.” It wasn’t a classic red. It was worse than a Ferrari red. It was wrong on just so many levels. Why would you want to do something like that to such a thing?

/shudder

Done

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

53 words over the minimum, 47 words under the maximum and I am done! Go me! /does a little dance.

Now I think I will give the extra credit essay a try. I still have about three hours left in my deadline, though sleep should be a priority as well.

I’d like to thank Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and The Day After Tomorrow for getting me through this paper. I admit I was doing other things some of the time, but the simpleness of the movies really helped keep me from being distracted by the TV.

Edit: Miracles do happen! It took me 15 minutes to write the extra credit essay. I’m on an essay spree. I’m giving the credit to the Robitussin I took for my cough. I am planning on finishing my college career without having ever resorted to using something like adderall. While it is great for those that need it. It is frustrating that so many people are using it to get through college and in some cases, life.

Whoo hoo half way

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

I’ve reached the half way point and have just finished point one of two and I still have to write a conclusion at the end. Let’s hope I can stop coughing enough to actually do this. Six more hours until my self-imposed deadline! There is still hope. No naps during this half. I don’t have time.

Unless a writing miracle occurs, I won’t be writing my extra credit essay. There just isn’t enough time.
