Because it was frustrating me, I sat down and listened to this blasted song about eight times and I think I got most of it. Here are the words to the So Long and Thanks for All the Fish song. The words in between the *s are as it is song at the beginning of the movie. Leave those out and you have the version from the closing credits. Oh and if you get a chance, check out Reasons to Be Miserable (His Name Is Marvin) by Stephen Fry. It’s at the end of the soundtrack.

The part of the song thats hardest for me to make out are the lines right after “come one and all.” Anyway these are the lyrics to the song as I hear them. Heh, maybe we need a Babel Fish to make it out.

Ha. When I first started typing it out, I thought of tuna fleets, but at the time it didn’t seem to fit. Now reading it over and over, it does. Doh! You folks are great!
If only the Babel fish in the survival set worked.

The fish are Christians and the dolphins vanishing refers to the rapture. New agey jokes are throughout the movie. Babel fish makes fun of speaking in tongues and refers to the tower of babel and sorcerers.
