A different kind of twenty questions

Wednesday, June 30th, 2004

A quiz from glimpseofagrrl.com,

You are an SEDF–Sober Emotional Destructive Follower. This makes you an evil genius. You are extremely focused and difficult to distract from your tasks. With luck, you have learned to channel your energies into improving your intellect, rather than destroying the weak and unsuspecting.

Your friends may find you remote and a hard nut to crack. Few of your peers know you very well–even those you have known a long time–because you have expert control of the face you put forth to the world. You prefer to observe, calculate, discern and decide. Your decisions are final, and your desire to be right is impenetrable.

You are not to be messed with. You may explode.

I’d say that’s pretty accurate.

Just something I have decided

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

I’m going to make a shirt. This shirt will say:

If I were God for a day people would FEEL my wrath.

Since so many wouldn’t know what wrath means, along the bottom it would say…

wrath
n.Forceful, often vindictive anger.

1. Punishment or vengeance as a manifestation of anger.
2. Divine retribution for sin.

Nothing in particular happened, I just feel kind of… full of wrath right now. Down with evil-doers.

The evil people

Holy FuXored policies batman… I bet this is going to catch some people off guard/piss some people off.

Stink

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

Excuse me while I vomit. Skittles just jumped on my desk and meowed right in my face. She is getting her teeth brushed soon! Bleck, I feel sick now.

In other news. I decided to wait until tomorrow to do the lawn. That way Josh and I can do it together. Plus, most of the front yard isn’t really all that high. It’s just one side that has some weeds popping up. Oh well.

I also made something today using one of the links in my craft section post. I didn’t have the heart to shrink or even color it. It just looked good as it was.

One really shouldn’t inhale too much bleach

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

I finished cleaning the bathroom about an hour ago. I noticed in the mirror that I was rather pale. Those that know me know this is no small feat considering the natural tan I have. Needless to say, I got out of there really fast. I guess having the window and outside door open didn’t help enough.

I just posted a ton of links in my craft section, for those crafty visitors I have. I think one (maybe two) of them have been posted here, but I put them in that section because that is where they belong.

I may either do the lawn or play with the remaining shrinky dink sheets Josh got me a few holidays ago. As much as he tries not to, my husband supports my craft obsession as much as I support his airplane obsession. We both have gadget obsessions, but I am probably worse than he is in that area.

How to do stuff, gods, and knitting

Tuesday, June 29th, 2004

Knitting Progress Tracker – For you knitters, here’s a nifty idea to let everyone know just how much more work you have left to do on your works in progress.

GodChecker – “Your Guide to the Gods!” I can’t recall if I have posted this one before, but with my love of mythology you can all just deal with it!

Howtoons – How to do fun and cool stuff. Instructions in comic format! I am not sure if my husband should be allowed to visit this site (He’ll try to make the Shockwave Air Cannon)!

Getting high

Monday, June 28th, 2004

So some kids “prank” called us. Basically asking for someone and then calling me a bitch. They blocked the call, so I called them assholes. Well they called back. I responded to the call with a blood curdling scream and hung up. I scared the crap out of Josh and my dad. Sorry. I didn’t know my voice could get that high. They tried calling back a couple of times, but I just let it ring and go to the voice mail that doesn’t exist.

If they call again tonight I’ll make a complaint with the phone company and after that they get to deal with the police. They sounded like they were around 10 years old. Hopefully they will grow up, but more than likely they’ll be dead from doing drugs in a few years. Of course, I’m not complaining.

More linky goodness

Monday, June 28th, 2004

Ian’s Shoelace Site – I’m printing out the instructions for when it is time for AJ to learn. I hope his learning shoe laces won’t be as difficult as potty training!

AdTunes – Information and/or links to various music heard on tv and radio ads. I should send people to this site when they hear me playing J. Ralph’s One Million Miles. I am constantly asked, “Isn’t that the song in that one Volkswagen Commercial?” to which I reply, “Yes it is.”

Old Superstitions – Seeing as superstitions were one of my favorite writing topics in middle and high school, this was of course added as a bookmark.

Tricky, tricky, tricky

Monday, June 28th, 2004

Aww, they tricked us!

The US handed over sovereignty two days early! With all of the recent happenings, you had to figure that would be happening.

I just called my dad and asked him, “When did they do that?” He gave me the spiel. The thing is, I have been awake since six this morning. Josh has jury duty and they have to be there at the butt crack of dawn.

Hangin with the munchkin

Sunday, June 27th, 2004

Hanging out with Shalyn today. Not sure what we’ll do, but she’s here.

Today’s links:
Ten Stories the world should hear more about – A collection by the United Nations of ten important stories that we just do not hear enough about in the news and media.

Political Friendster – A parody of Friendster. Connect the political players to everyone else.

I’m starting to clear up the bookmarks!
