Miss me
Did anyone miss me? There was a fire in the building where the site’s host’s server resides, so all of the sites I have hosted were down. They are still waiting for more info, but /sigh at least we’re back.

I found some old emails of Josh’s on one of my cds. In one of the emails I mention for him to “Pick out a good kitty.” I think he did a pretty good job. I also found an avi of Josh playing with Skittles. She was about six months old in it. Gawd she was cute. I think I need to buy a new cd burner or dvd for this machine. It’s having a really tough time reading stuff. She’s been a faithful burner. After about an hour and a half of looking and swearing (over the read time), I’ve finally found the files I wanted to work with. Now I shall get to work.
Well, I figured I would follow the instructions at Virtual Venus for creating a Winamp Hoverable Playlist. I thought it would be a fun little thing. Really, it was just something easy to do and with Josh sick, I could leave it to check on him and then go back to it. So I got it working and all that good stuff. The only problem is… I apparently don’t listen to much that Amazon.com can figure out. For some strange reason, The La’s come out under Outkast. The Sundays come out under Sugarcult. It did manage to get Sponge correct. I’m batting about 45% correct so far. Oh well.
Cleaning is pretty much the only thing on my schedule for today. Josh is finally starting to feel better (in the past hour). Baby steps. I think I might work out in the backyard. I want to move some bricks and stuff around.
Oh yeah…. Christian Bale shall be the new Batman. Purrr. He has features that would probably be pretty good for it.
Holy crap.
John Ritter has died yesterday and so has Johnny Cash! Johnny Cash I was expecting, but John Ritter? Well, at least he went out while on top again.
Everyone is still kind of miserable. I ended up sleeping in another room so Josh could get some rest. Skittles went with me (considering she was the reason he couldn’t get any rest) and loved it. She crawled under a wool blanket and slept there so quietly and cute.
Check out Isabel and her punk-a$$ self.
Coughing a lot in the past twenty minutes for some reason. Josh is all stuffy and sounds funny. My dad thinks he may finally be getting sick too. Skittles was being so bad that I decided to comb her. Boy was she upset about that. She can’t stand the comb. Grooming is HER job.
I really like our new bed. It’s so soft and as AJ says, comfy. Speaking of AJ, he has something he likes to do now.
He gets on his little ‘mocacycle’ (tricycle motorcycle) in the rec room and makes his way to the dining room. As he enters the dining room he tells me… ‘I’m leabing (leaving) you…’ and he rides into the kitchen where he turns around, looks straight at me and says, ‘for-eber (forever)…’ He then proceeds to the laundry room where he yells out to me, ‘I not leabing (leaving) you.’ That boy cracks me up.
The whole I’m leaving you thing started when AJ would want to go with my mother somewhere and not stay with me. I would proclaim, “AJ, don’t leave me.” Followed by “You’re leaving me, for-e-v-e-r” and some fake sobs. He would just smile.
Dear Isabel,
Please keep far away from the East Coast. We understand you are big and bad. However, we would prefer you just stay out in the Atlantic.
Thank you,
Resident of the East Coast
That thing is big. Geez.
Josh is sick, my sister-in-law is really sick (went to work this morning and came home a half hour later), my mother is sick and the kids and I still have lingering congestion. In general we’re resembling something from ‘The Stand’ around here. I think my dad is the only one who hasn’t gotten sick. That is mostly because he wasn’t around the kids much when they were sick.
I’ve been searching around trying to find fun and interesting icons. I knew I was picky, but boy am I having a hard time finding anything I like. I guess I could make some of my own, but I am having a hard time concentrating between coughing and sniffling. I really hate being sick.
I am finding creative ways of avoiding putting up new shelving. Normally I would love to do things like this. However, the dust that I’ll have to deal with and the constant coughing I’ve been doing all morning won’t help me. I’ll probably start around noon and just surf the web until then.
Despite what I apparently keep hearing on CNN, no we’re not flooded nor building an ark. We got sprinkles, freaking sprinkles! The lawn was mowed and oh yeah, we need a new lawn mower! Grrr. Everything seemed to breakup over us. Weird, very weird. I find it highly amusing (and dare I say adorable) that my niece would really like a raincoat resembling that of Trinity’s from The Matrix.
Still sick, but getting better. Breathing is a little easier, but still difficult sometimes. Josh is getting sick as well. Trying to rearrange furniture while you are sick is not an easy task. Josh and I purchased a new, larger mattress and I need to make room for it. We just have too much stuff. That’s it. Yard Sale?? Never, not my stuff.
