Everybody clean up

Tuesday, May 27th, 2003

Operation yard overhaul is past the point of no return. I just finished cutting the grass, plants have been planted, and the evil ants have been given their treatment. I need to head up to Lowes soon. Let me think, what do we need?

  1. Three water sprinkler hoses.
  2. One 25ft. hose.
  3. One bag of ant killer.
  4. Four cans of bug spray.
  5. Plant stakes or metal wire for holding item #1 flat.

Something always bugs me about yardwork, dirt up the nose. When you go and blow your nose afterwards it’s all dirt.

We got pictures done of the kids. Well I should say we got pictures of :brittany: and Shalyn. AJ freaked out and started screaming, so we just did pics of the girls. Kids.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Ad-aware? I was having a problem with IE and I just ran Ad-aware and it seems to have cleared up. Yippee.

Well, I need lunch and then it’s back to yard. I’m actually getting sunburned. SPF 50 my a$$. In my 25.5 years of life, I’ve only ever been sunburned twice.

cleaning and stuff

Monday, May 26th, 2003

Spent the day with the kids. Yesterday was yard work marathon day. I helped my dad plant new plants in the front yard and raked leaves in the backyard. I really hate leaves. I really, really hate them. Oh, and there are still more to go. /sigh

:skittles: is currently sitting under the end of an area rug. AJ had stuck his stuffed dog under it, so it was up just enough for her to get in and have fun attacking the fringed edge. Now she is just sleeping there. Very cute. If I was so darn tired, I’d take a picture of her.

Did a wee bit of retail therapy as I believe it is called. Didn’t really get anything for myself, but I got stuff-by-proxy. I found the coolest peasant skirts for :brittany: on sale. When I scanned them they had dropped from the original price of $17.99 down to…. $1.94!!! She got four of them and another one of a different type for a few dollars more. I couldn’t find deals that good for Shalyn though. Of course Shalyn also has more clothes than any of the others.

What else did I get? Oh, ello vinyl clings (aka vinyl stickers). I got the aquaria clings and the ello-opolis packs each for $0.34!!! score! The ello-opolis one has cute little street signs and store related stuff. If the price goes down, I’ll buy the ello sets. I think they need to market them more. I’ve only seen commercials twice and they aren’t displayed very well in stores.

Alright, time for some rest…

Schools out for

Friday, May 23rd, 2003

School is out folks… at least around here it is. The last day of school was today and the kiddies are out to play. 2.5 months until they are back in school! Next year will more than likely be off to quite a harsh beginning. Shalyn will start kindergarten and will be just like me, scared to freaking death!! :brittany: will be in the 4th grade and itching to get back!

Speaking of :brittany:, she’s doing a lot of sitting on the couch drinking fluids. She’s on antibiotics for the next two weeks and then back to the doctors. I’ll see her tomorrow. I may have her make some goals for the summer. We’ll see.

Goodbye

Friday, May 23rd, 2003

Why am I not crying over this? Oh yeah, because You, Vincent Gallo are an a-hole! He just tends to be a self-righteous prick and it pisses me off.

I think we need to change :skittles:’ name to Garfield. She’s currently eating some veggie lasagna! Silly cat.

log discussions

Friday, May 23rd, 2003

Notes from my logs…

I can’t help you with the Kennedy conspiracy, but I had a college roommate that lived near them.

hadhafang is beautiful.

I never bought the Singer Tiny Tailor, they didn’t have any.

Alex McCloud, well you saw her on Joe Millionaire, so we all know how that “acting career” is going.

Serta sheep, Do you know how few pictures there are of those things? I think #1 and I will be doing a photoshoot for some wallpapers.

Gollum wavs/mp3s, email me and I’ll send them to you. Same goes for the wallpaper (which isn’t perfect let me add, I’m slowly working on it). I also got some new gollum mp3s and wavs from The Two Towers, from here.

Failing the FCAT. You need to consult with your school principal, teachers, and discuss it with them. There is hope that you can be promoted/graduate, depending on your past testing and class grades. Can you tell I went to the FCAT meeting with my sister-in-law?

And that is all that I can think of to reply to. Good Luck.

As much as I dread doing this, I need to bandwidth protect just about every image on :skittlescam:. It’s getting pretty bad lately, as well as irritating!

Please sign it

Thursday, May 22nd, 2003

Oh dear gord, please let the governor do something useful for once and sign in legislation to make elderly drivers pass vision tests before getting their licenses renewed. So far it looks like he will sign it, but you just can’t tell anymore. AARP might kick in.

In other legal news, cyberstalking is illegal now. If you harrass or stalk someone, you’re screwed!

:brittany: has come home from the hospital. They sent her home and she has to go see that doctor in the morning for follow up. The other munchkins are spending the night tonight so that it will be peaceful for :brittany:

Best $3

Thursday, May 22nd, 2003

The old word processor that I found at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago was the best $3 I’ve spent in ages. It actually works which is a bonus. It saves to floppy as well. Of course I don’t have a floppy on this laptop, so we’ll see.

:brittany: has a kidney infection. She will probably need to spend the night in the hospital. Poor munchkin.

Fresh and Clean tomorrow

Thursday, May 22nd, 2003

I was giving the kids a bath and AJ kept repeating “Fresh and Clean Tomorrow” in song form. It was quite cute.

My brother and sister-in-law left work and took Brittany. The doctor told them to go to the hospital. I don’t know if it is liability that caused that decision or just proper concern. We haven’t heard anything since they arrived at the hospital. Her temp didn’t go down after fluids and all. Hopefully we’ll hear something.

Sick and frustrated kids have not made for much work to be done. They seem to be fighting naps. However, Brittany managed to make a skirt for a Barbie doll. She was having a hard time keeping the line straight, but it doesn’t look bad, especially since she was sick and I was just plain tired.

Brittany

Thursday, May 22nd, 2003

Crappers. Brittany is sick, like really sick. Her fever just shot up to 104.5°. Oi vey. Tomorrow is her last day of school and she missed today. I’m taking bets that she will miss tomorrow as well. I guess one of us will go in to her class and get all of her stuff. Poor baby. Skittles is staying in the bedroom. I think she knows :brittany: is sick. She kept trying to brush up against her leg. /sigh

Of course this happens when I volunteer to watch the kids. Go figure.
