It hasn’t grown yet?

Tuesday, April 29th, 2003

You mean grass doesn’t grow in a day? I know Brittany is going to say something like that. She is doing a science project with grass and different types of soil. We planted it last night. I helped her weigh everything and that’s about it. She’ll be here soon.

Time to go work in the yard.

I knew it

Sunday, April 27th, 2003

I knew I wasn’t going crazy! The song “My United States of Whatever” is the one that used to be sung on Sifl and Olly. The only difference is that it is actually credited to Liam Lynch and is now getting pretty heavy rotation it seems! YEAH!

I finished :brittany:’s Gryffindor scarf today. She will see it tomorrow evening when I see her. I’ve already started on Shalyn’s and will work on one for AJ after I finish her’s.

My parents made it home safely. Somehow it has been worked out that I will work tomorrow too. Okie Dokie!

Well, I’ve got some odds and ends to do and then it’s of to bed.

Where have they all gone?

Friday, April 25th, 2003

Where have all of the good child actors gone? Are too many parents keeping their kids out of the business for fear that they may turn out like one of the Coreys or something? We’re stuck with the creepy little girls in the Welch’s Grape juice commercials. How about the “Cha-Ching” kid who doesn’t seem to be able to act at all. I prefer Larry King’s Welch’s commercials to those little girls.

Apparently my dad made good food tonight and SOMEONE (yes you) teased their husband about it. You’re so bad. Just kidding!

I was busy today, but I managed to survive. Now I’m ready for sleep.

Appalled

Thursday, April 24th, 2003

This is simply appalling.

Should you be able to feel your pulse in your back? I can. I had a nosebleed this morning. I have no clue where it came from.

Josh is making boxes for shipping out the airplanes and such. Whatever floats his boat.

Talk of the first SARS case here on the news. I’m waiting to find out why there were ten police cars with lights on setting up a perimeter around a bank/apartment complex that was on our way home.

Oh my, Tiny sure is tiny.

I just saw a news story from another state where there was a duck hit with a blow gun dart. Though I know it’s not one we sell, it bothers me. We are very picky with who we sell to. I have a legal right and obligation to not sell to someone who appears that they will use it in a dangerous or illegal manner. I use this option often.

The thing that bothers me is that there are so many other people/business owners who don’t do this. Even selling a slingshot to a minor is illegal here. I wonder if Wal-Mart knows this, considering they sell them right off the shelf. I should have :brittany: purchase one on her own and then go in and complain to them.

We generally make better sales due to our honesty. There is the occasional idiot who gets all ticked off, but I’d rather have a ticked off kid than hear about him/her hurting or killing someone either on purpose or by accident.

Well, I need to sleep. Today was a busy day and tomorrow may be as well. I need my rest. Thankfully, the parentals return in a few days. (Remember that one :brittany: - parentals, you can also use parental units)

Oh, before I forget… What does everyone think of VW’s Touareg? As happy VW owners we get the cheesy VW Drivers magazine and it’s on the cover. It’s cute, but it doesn’t come in diesel yet. Maybe one day.

I’m not dead, I’m just tired

Thursday, April 24th, 2003

I’m not dead folks, I’m just tired. Things sure have picked up since Easter. It’s been fairly busy at both stores and I’m really tired. Things were so busy that I didn’t even get to sit down for almost four hours. That’s a rare one.

I fear tomorrow. Rainy days tend to bring people in. There is a big green blob on the radar, with some red, yellow, and green blobs coming behind it. Hey Josh, guess you’re going to hang out with me tomorrow!

Four of the auctions have ended. Yeah for money. Josh is auctioning this stuff off to get money for reloading equipment. That was the deal. I don’t want any more crap in here! He’s even auctioning off some baseball card stuff too. I hope he doesn’t think he can get even more stuff then. Husbands, silly husbands.

Cancellations and Revivals

Monday, April 21st, 2003

Aww, Sabrina the Teenage Witch has finally been cancelled. I’m sorry, but Melissa is OLDER THAN ME!!! She hasn’t been a teen in a very long time. Grr. I remember when they filmed Clarissa down here. Gawd that was forever.

Santa TuxWhoo. I was looking through some of my old files and found some photos from one of the GNHLUG Christmas Dinners. Some of those included Maddog in his Santa suit (which seemed a wee too tight). I also found some of the graphics I did for the dinner. Tux in a Santa suit. The mustache and beard are done that way on purpose. I had some people concerned about that. Believe me, it was a cuteness factor!

The parentals are leaving in the morning. Happy Vacation mom and dad. Don’t worry, we’ll all be fine. Parents can be so difficult some times.

Out to dinner

Monday, April 21st, 2003

I really miss going out to dinner. Josh and I haven’t really gone out anywhere since we moved here. I think we really should. Maybe this week we will. I want something different.

Auctions are going pretty well. I have rearranged my portal page. I checked to see if it would validate and it wouldn’t. It’s the New York Times code that doesn’t validate. Go figure.

:skittles: just went flying by. I imagine she just used the bathroom. Weirdo.

Audi-Oh

Monday, April 21st, 2003

Umm, errrr Hello! Good grace!

portal stuff

Sunday, April 20th, 2003

These are some of the scripts I use. They have been modified to suit my needs, but they are still good “right out of the box”.

Now for other stuff. How many of you knew it was Adolph Hitler’s birthday. I was a 20th century European History major, what can I say.

Business is up, which is good. Easter always seems to pick it up for some reason. Gator sightings increasing. I think I am allergic to cod.

Made jello with Swedish Fish inside of it. Can’t wait to see what the munchkins do. Last week the Swedish Fish truck was at one of my parents shop. Such an interesting thing to see as I stepped outside. They gave away some free “samples” as they called it. Big Fishy on top of the truck. Very cute.

Sleepy

Sunday, April 20th, 2003

I was trying to do some work on a php script and I just couldn’t concentrate. Eventually I tried some css. /sigh I’m too tired to do anything.

I got some really good stills from New Line. I love those guys. (ok, sometimes I love them.) Some made me sad, some made me gasp. Damn you guys, damn you. J/K.

Things are on my mind, but it’s taken me more than 45 minutes to type the last few lines, so let’s just end it here for now.
