Ok, this is a total rambling babble post, so move on if you want.
I just realized I have been a vegetarian for over 14 years.
Ernie is now on The Weakest Link. Completely forgot about that episode.
Carrie-Anne Moss is pregnant. Little Trinities running around. Awww. * link found via jumpingmonkeys.com.
I’ve been looking for jobs. It’s not out of need either. It’s out of the fact that I am turning into Martha! I made two sock dogs today, designed a pantry shelving system, and designed a play house for Skittles. I’ve got to do something!
Skittles is sleeping with Oliphaunt (a big soft stuffed elephant) and they look so cute.

For the love of Bob! Yesterday Josh and I (With a little mother and munchkin help) picked up 37 mulched bags of leaves. The day before we managed about 9. Considering that we started at like 4pm, 9 isn’t all that bad. However, 37 bags is bad! The most horrible thing wasn’t the blisters or the sore back, it was the freaking red ants! I’ve got bites all over my feet.
I’ve decided that the next time anyone wants trees… we’re buying them fake ones or ones that keep their leaves.
I’m feeling better but the leaf raking did a number on the allergies.
Josh made Brunswick Stew tonight. I added it to the “everything” recipes section. It’s apparently pretty good. I’ll take everyone’s word for it. I have to post the white bread recipe later. I’m too tired to do it.

Yeah for Howard Shore and Norah Jones. (I popped it on and lookie lookie!) She seems so out of place. Damnit, they’re pulling me in to watch with a tribute to The Clash. … GARY!!!!!

So I’m watching a re-run of the new Dragnet. It’s not that bad. Ed O’Neill seems to fit this character. I haven’t quite figured out if Ethan Embry fits the role, but I’m giving him a chance. He’s got quite a good range of skill from what I’ve seen. He even has the token bad movies too.
I’m feeling a wee bit better, off and on. I managed to make a big old pillow for my dad. Wait, make that a HUGE pillow for my dad. I think it’s going to be too big, but my brother thought it was cool and wants it if my dad wants something smaller. Hope my brother and my sister-in-law are feeling better. They were worse than I was apparently.

I feel like crap and I’m getting really angry. :angry I managed to go shopping with my brother. I spent a whole $15. Then my medicine started to fade… so I started feeling crappy again and we returned home. Apparently my other brother and his wife are feeling crappy as well. This really sucks.

Temperature 95.7°F, stuffed nose, dragging limb feeling. Yes, I think I’ve caught a bug.
Cousins have gone home to jolly old England. Sad to see them go, but the youngins have school.
Wow, I actually am putting together coherent sentences. Wow, I used the word coherent, twice now. Then again, I’ve used the backspace quite a bit in the last minute. Hmm. Maybe I’ll just go do something that doesn’t require me to think so hard while I am ill.

Paper Airplane flight simulator. I believe my husband will play with this for a while (and possibly my father in law and my brothers).

Well, the mailman finally came and the larger of the checks arrived. That makes me happy. The insurance company will be typical and it will take a while to issue us a check.
We have decided that the material for Skittles bed would also make nice and big pillows. At least pillows are easy enough for me to make. The only problem is getting enough stuffing for them and keeping the stuffing even. I don’t think I’ll find pillow forms for the shape I’m going for but we’ll see.

My head has been hurting for quite a few hours now. The only brief relief I had was when my adrenaline kicked in after seeing the most beautiful fabric for… $1 a yard. I took all 14.25 yards of it. It’s blood red that is slightly iridescent. :biggrin I’m very happy about it. I have some patterns that I might use it for, or else make some beautiful pillows. If only I had my ribbons here, I have some that would look great with it. /sigh I thought of making an Arwen dress for Shalyn and I may still. I just need to remember to save a few yards for her and possibly Brittany.
While waiting around for me (and probably rolling his eyes), Josh found some fabric to make a bed for Skittles with, again, $1 a yard. We only managed 10.5 yards of that. I have no clue what to do with that much of that fabric, but I could probably make quite a few small blankets for the kids or even some for the homeless. It will be something to think about.
The mailman is late and it’s driving me nuts. We’re expecting a refund check from the car insurance and a check from closing a savings account. I know they will both try to hang on to the funds as long as possible, but if it doesn’t come by the end of this week, I’ll have to get mean. I really don’t like to get mean.
