Umm, Ok

Tuesday, December 31st, 2002

My father seems to think that Josh and I should move to Dubai for a few years. Apparently there are good jobs for us. Uhhh, I think not. We won’t even get started on the reasons.

Home Depot closed early today and we were depressed. I’ll be happy when the Lowes opens. I need to build something. Josh and I got a nice cordless drill for Yule and it needs to be broken in!

I was thinking of getting some 2×4s and making something for Skittles to climb around on. The poor baby’s stuff is all in storage. I’ll figure something out.

Home again

Monday, December 30th, 2002

Well, we’ve made it home. I’m still feeling bad, but at least I’m not congested. My sinuses have been so abused, but I’m alive. It will probably be a couple of days of pain that I’ll have to deal with. It sucks big time.

Closing has been pushed back until Thursday. So technically we’ll be selling the house in 2003 I guess.

I was upset to hear that Joe Strummer died. We were about to get out of the car when we heard it on NPR. First person I thought of? You know who you are. I need to email you soon, now that I am home and all.

Yule

Saturday, December 21st, 2002

Seeing as I may quite possibly be on the road tomorrow, I’ll go ahead and say, Happy Yule, Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day, Happy Kwanza and Happy Holidays for those celebrating anything else!

Welcome back dad

Friday, December 20th, 2002

My dad has returned. I am glad he returned now, considering what’s going on. He’s come back with lots of new toys. He got a really cool color digital camera watch. It’s one of those new fancy hi-tech ones. He’s got other goodies too, but we are all quite tired. Dad had been travelling for over 24 hours.

I might have a cold and my face is bruised. On Wednesday, my nephew and I were playing and he head-butted me. Now my gums and the inside of my mouth is bruised. It hurts when I talk. He’s fine though. Go figure.

Angering the munchkin

Thursday, December 19th, 2002

I’ve angered the munchkins. They were playing where they were instructed not to play and therefore were sent to time out. Shalyn took it the hardest. She gave me the meanest look I’ve ever seen her give. We had to sit down and “have a talk” with each other. She says she understands, but she’s only 4, I’ll cut her some slack. AJ took it the lightest. He just sat and played with his shoes and eventually fell asleep. If only they stayed that way! /sigh

My husband

Thursday, December 19th, 2002

Happy birthday to my husband. I love you.

Amazing

Tuesday, December 17th, 2002

So apparently people just don’t get skittlescam. It’s humour people and the f*cking archive is from the camera which SAVES pictures. /sigh

Well, sinus pains. Dad will be back in a few days. We will head to Josh’s parents etc etc… /sigh Time for sleep. Sinus ow

So tired. Must sleep. Need

Wednesday, December 11th, 2002

So tired. Must sleep. Need to sleep. /yawn

I’ve been cleaning, taking a break to do some holiday wrapping, then cleaning, then more wrapping.

We’re missing an entire box of presents. They are somewhere in storage but I am not going to empty out the place to find them. Josh and I did a mad dash and found replacement presents in less than twenty minutes!

My cousin and her family are coming in from London Thursday so we are doing a lot of cleaning. The baby is only six months old, so there’s some rearranging too. I haven’t seen them in a couple of years since we are usually never here around this time. It will be good to see them.

Well, I hope the ship out Calhoun’s goodies soon as well as a few other boxes. I saw something a few weeks ago that I should have gotten then but didn’t. I HAVE to get it for Calhoun for his birthday. I MUST!!! It was just too perfect. It’s useful to boot, two for one!

Alright, bedtime for me…

shuttle

Saturday, December 7th, 2002

Shuttle just landed. Skittles freaked out and ran back in the house when she heard the sonic booms. Thankfully it didn’t wake the munchkins. My mom seems to have gotten everyone sick in some way or another and the munchkins are showing it. Parents!

My dad is doing well. He’s got another week until he hops on another plane. He’ll get a little rest.

le sigh

Thursday, December 5th, 2002

munchkin patrol today. I’ve been watching the kids today. We’ve been goofing off all day.

I’m hardly surfing lately. Everything i’ve been doing online has been checking on bills, flights, etc. Email is even backed up. /le sigh

I am however really looking forward to the opening of The Two Towers. Josh, my brother and I may get tickets for the midnight opening of it.
