Fashion Plates

Sunday, March 31st, 2002

Does anyone remember Fashion Plates? I do. I happened to find some a few days before my niece Brittany’s birthday. I knew she had to have them, even if I had already bought her all of her birthday presents. Well, I’ve been looking online and can’t seem to find them anywhere. It’s quite frustrating. I know another little girl :cough::Rachel::cough: that would love to have a set. I’ll keep looking. Maybe e-bay?

So far so good

So far so good. I’m writing this from my laptop with the wireless card in. Still needs to be connected to the firewall, which is linux.

going wireless

Saturday, March 30th, 2002

Well, a few hours ago my husband did the unthinkable… he said he wanted to go to Best Buy. Apparently he’s been researching wireless and linux. So, we went to linux and bought enough goodies for he and I to put out laptops on the wireless.

Oh and it seems that .rr.com has been banned from ICQ’s IRC servers. Well isn’t that spiffy. Somethings definately off there.

A Peaceful Sleep

Saturday, March 30th, 2002

Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, has passed. I read about it earlier when I woke up, but there wasn’t much news then.

In other news, if you have a yahoo account, be sure to change your preferences. Maybe this accounts for the increase in spam i’ve started to find in my inbox.

Perfect for me

Saturday, March 30th, 2002

Ooh, ooh, ohh. I really like this. The only problem is I really have to wonder if it could handle the abuse I would put it through. It’s not the most practical designs in terms of wear and tear.

Friday, March 29th, 2002

Having not really ever paid attention to the words, my husband asked me what “Die Eier Von Satan” meant (it’s a Tool song). I didn’t believe what I was thinking so I searched and yep, it was what I was thinking. I therefore submit,

For my husband:

Ein wenig extra Staubzucker

… und keine Eier

In eine Schussel geben

Thanks Calhoun, I’m addicted. Feel my wrath. Hee Hee Hee.

Oh and I think I have found a gallery script that I like. I’ve been hacking it up some (with permission of course) and it seems to be working quite nicely. Just a few php tweaks and then it can be gussied up with some colors and/or graphics. I really wanted to use one that uses mysql, but I realized that this way is actually easier in the long run. I’m overly organized, so I know where what images are if I need them.
