The Pox
Even more has happened folks! I took a visit to see the folks and Brittany got the spots. Yes, Chicken Pox. The poor baby. She survived with only 2 itty-bitty scars. We thought all was well and that I and my smallest niece, Shalyn, were in the clear (neither of us have had the pox before). Well, dag-on-it… We got spots.
IT SUCKS to have Chicken Pox when you are an adult. You can’t go out in public, you can’t do the shopping you need to, it just sucks. To top it all off, I had an ear infection before I got the pox, and it could be another 3 weeks before I can hear normally out of one ear. At least the meds are all done. They were horrible. I wasn’t able to eat for a week. Everything was always trying to make a second appearance.
Apparently tons of folks are jumping ship from the TV station. Good for them. Some are good people, some are bad. We folks survive!
My trip to Florida. The family part was good, but I once again realized why I don’t like people! I had an encounter with a woman who insisted I did not understand English. Duh…… Yeah, The most I know in Spanish is No Habla Espanol. I’m not even sure if I spelled that right! I looked at the woman and told her, “Actually I am listening to this woman, who asked me a question first, and I understand English QUITE well. Do you?” My other interesting encounter was with a man in a department store. He proceeded to tell me I did not know how to wash clothes. I won’t say what I had to say. My mom was with me, and I’ve never spoken like that in front of her before. I don’t plan on doing that ever again. I’m developing an attitude typical to the folks who live in the very large metropolitan area not too far from my home. I’m actually kind of proud of it.
Once I get well again, I have stuff I want to try to start doing. I have to start practicing my HTML. I mean tricks… I feel like I have forgotten a lot.
I think I will go work on the links section now. I’ve seen some new interesting websites out there, and some of the other ones have been “bought” and “merged.” Lovely……. not!
